THE On The Fly controller has three functions. Speed (MPH)- This knob you control with a turn controls how fast the cart will be allowed to go. From 1mph to as high as 30 plus mph all at your fingertips. Regen- This middle knob Regen stands for "Regenerative Braking". What happens when this is turned up, it's the act of turning your cart motor into a generator. What happens when turned up, it will assist you braking. If you have had or have driven a Club Car golf cart in the past, it slows when you let off the gas pedal. Regenerative braking is a nice feature, if used even in the slightest, the braking will generate energy back that then goes back into your batteries to increase the ability to drive even further. This feature again is at your fingertips and if turned all the way down, the cart will not assist you, but will coast to a stop. Accel- The third knob on the far right is the Acceleration Control that only affects the carts take off speed from a stand still. When the knob is slightly used, the cart will have a beautiful soft smooth take off vs if tuned up will increase the cart to go from Zero to 20 Mph in under 3 1/2 seconds. |
